Allegro Ice Dance Club is one of Auckland’s fastest growing Ice Figure Skating clubs and is based at the Botany Paradice Ice Skating Rink.

The club is affiliated with the New Zealand Ice Figure Skating Association (NZIFSA), which in turn is affiliated with the International Skating Union.

The club was formed in 2003 to promote the sport and artistry of ice dancing.

In 2010 Auckland’s only Adult Synchronized Skating team was formed. The club remained focused on Auckland and Adult skating until 2018 when a group of young synchronized skaters joined the club as a team, helping the club embrace all disciplines of ice figure skating.

Today the club supports skaters of all ages from tiny tots to adults across Singles, Pairs, Ice Dance and Synchronized Skating.

• Promote all disciplines of Ice Figure Skating (Singles, Pairs, Ice Dance and Synchronized Skating)

• To help grow our club skater skills by offering development club sessions

• To support and encourage both competitive and social skaters

• To pass on information relevant to Ice Figure Skating in all disciplines to our members

• To encourage active participation of our club members in all local, regional and national championships

• To ensure our skaters adhere to the rules and regulations of our governing body, the New Zealand Ice Figure Skating Association (NZIFSA)

• To foster good relations with all NZIFSA affiliated skating clubs

To ensure we help our club skaters achieve their goals whether it be travelling to the South Island for a club, regional or national championship or for international travel, the club will endeavour to support them by offering several fundraising opportunities.
